SSC CGL 2024 may be released on 11 June 2024. So let’s start with how to prepare for SSC CGL 2024.
SSC CGL 2024 Pattern :
This is the first step to how to prepare SSC CGL 2024 to help you better performance. SSC CGL exam is held in 2 tiers. i.e. tier 1 and tier 2. Both the exams are conducted online mode. Multiple choice questions are given in tier 1 or multiple choice questions + Computer proficiency test in tier 2. The time limit for Tier 1 is 160 minutes and for Tier 2 is 150 minutes for Paper 1 and 120 minutes each for Paper 2 and Paper 3. The total Marks for Tier 1 are 200 and Tier 2 is 850.

Syllabus of Tier 1:
English Intelligence and Reasoning:
Non-verbal series, observation, statement conclusion, relationship concepts, syllogistic reasoning, coding and decoding, analysis, arithmetic number series, similarities and differences, judgment, visual memory, discrimination, decision-making, problem-solving, and so on.
General Awareness:
Current affairs, Indian history, politics, economy, geography, static general knowledge, books & authors, governmental schemes and policies, awards and so on.
Quantitative Aptitude:
Averages, Coordinate Geometry, Data Interpretation, Elementary Surds, Linear Equation, Mensuration, Number system, Profit and loss, Percentage, Problems on age, Ratio and Proportion, Simple and Compound Interest, Square Root, Time and Distance, Time and Work and so on.
English Comprehension:
Antonyms, Idioms, One Word Substitution, Reading & Comprehension Passages, Spelling Errors, Synonyms and so on.
Syllabus of Tier 2:
There are 3 Papers conducted in Tier 2:
Paper 1: Mathematical Abilities, Reasoning & General Intelligence, English Language & Comprehension, Data Entry Skills, General Awareness, Computer Knowledge.
Paper 2: Statistics:
Analysis of Variance, Correlation and Regression, Measures of Central Tendency, Probability Theory, Sampling Theory, Index Numbers and so on.
Paper 3: General Studies Finance and Economics:
Bills of Exchange, the Role and Function of the Finance Commission, the Theory of demand and supply, Profit and Loss Appropriation Accounts, Self-Balancing Ledgers, Money and Banking, the Indian Economy and so on.
CPT(Computer Proficiency Test):
The CPT exam is a typing test that checks the typing speed of the candidate. it includes spreadsheet word processing and generation of slides.

Is it easy to pass the SSC CGL exam?
hmmm, it is not easy but if you prepare at the right time or the right way then you can probably pass because SSC CGL is one of the toughest government exams, which is very difficult to pass.
How many months are enough to prepare for SSC CGL?
SSC CGL preparation can take 6 to 12 months depending on several factors like how much current knowledge you have, how well you understand the exam pattern and most importantly how dedicated you are to SSC CGL preparation.
These are some plans to prepare for SSC CGL 2024:
A. Assessment Phase (1-2 months):
In this phase, through previous year practice tests or mock tests, you can check which area of the subject you are weak in. This can help you in understanding the important areas of the subject in which you are having more problems.
B. Study Phase (3-6 months):
In this phase, you can cover the syllabus of all the subjects day to day or if needed, you can cover the entire syllabus from time to time by taking the help of study material, online resources or coaching.
After this, do revision for 1 to 2 months and then give mock tests in the last 1 month, this will help you to cover the entire syllabus.
